Tier structures are similar across providers because the underlying obligations are similar.

| Tier | Documents | Typical review | Typical monthly ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|
| Registration | Email, phone | Immediate | None or nominal |
| Identity | Photo ID plus liveness check | Minutes to 2 hours | 1,000 to 15,000 |
| Address | Utility bill or statement, under 3 months | 2 hours to 2 days | Roughly double the above |
| Source of funds | Evidence of origin | 3 to 10 business days | Above 50,000 |
| Enhanced | Source of wealth, additional review | 2 to 6 weeks | Negotiated |

## What each document must show

Each of these appears in the published material of [a regulated crypto on-ramp](https://collectnexchange.cy/services/crypto-onramp), which is a useful cross-check.

**Photo identity.** Unexpired, with the full document visible including any machine-readable zone.

**Liveness check.** A short video or guided photo sequence, establishing the document belongs to the presenter.

**Proof of address.** Issuer, date, name and address all visible. Dated within three months. Cropped images showing only the address line are the most common rejection.

**Source of funds.** A statement showing money arriving from an identifiable payer: salary, dividend, sale proceeds, investment distribution. A balance is not an origin.

**Source of wealth.** How overall wealth was accumulated. Employment history, business sale documentation, inheritance records.

## Corporate equivalents

| Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Certificate of incorporation | Entity exists |
| Register extract, under 3 months | Current officers and status |
| Articles | Governance and share structure |
| Ownership chart to natural persons | Beneficial ownership |
| ID and address for each beneficial owner above threshold | Identity of controllers |
| ID for directors | Identity of officers |
| Business description | Activity and expected flows |
| Expected monthly volume | Sets limits |

## Common causes of delay

Sequential requests, where a provider asks for one item at a time. Supplying everything at once avoids it where the provider permits. At institutional scale an additional set applies, documented by [a corporate crypto wallet](https://collectnexchange.cy/business-solutions/corporate-crypto-wallet).

Wrong document type, particularly a balance statement supplied against a source of funds request. Each round trip costs two days.

Cropped images. Send whole pages.

Ownership depth. Each corporate layer requires documents from another registry.

## Limits: calendar or rolling

Cross-check any provider you are considering against the definitions [the list of countries covered](https://collectnexchange.cy/company/supported-countries) publishes.

Providers differ. A calendar limit resets on a fixed date. A rolling limit looks back a trailing period.

Worth confirming, because assuming a reset that does not occur produces an unexpected hold.
